About REDI.E

The Regional Enterprise Development Institute (REDI.E) is the peak service provider for Aboriginal communities in Western NSW.

An Indigenous owned and managed organisation, REDI.E is proud to deliver employment, training and community services within the Murdi Paaki region and other parts of NSW, including Bourke, Brewarrina, Broken Hill, Cobar, Collarenebri, Coonamble, Enngonia, Goodooga, Gulargambone, Ivanhoe, Lightning Ridge, Menindee, Walgett, Weilmoringle, Wentworth and Wilcannia.

As a viable and independent organisation, REDI.E also operates a number of social enterprises in these communities.

REDI.E's goal is to improve the social fabric and living standards of western NSW residents. This is done through the design and delivery of a range of services, with partners including State and Federal Government, other community organisations, local employers and education and training providers.

About the Opportunity

REDI.E now has an executive leadership opportunity for a Program Manager to lead and manage REDI.E's Indigenous Programs. This is a full-time, 2 year contract position, with extension likely for the right person. This role will be predominantly based in Dubbo, with frequent travel throughout the region as required.

This is an Executive Leadership position that also acts as CEO in the event of annual leave or other matters that require the existing CEO to be away from the business. The Program Manager has overarching responsibility for all REDI.E programs (with the exception of the Community Development Program), to ensure performance, employment targets and contactual obligations are met. 

The key program areas this position oversees include:

  • Remote Schools Attendance Strategy;
  • Wilcannia Radio;
  • Language Programs;
  • Vocational Training Employment Centre (VTEC); and
  • Indigenous Justice Program.

To meet this objective, the Program Manager is required to effectively handle resources and establish and maintain partnerships across the Murdi Paaki region.

About You

To be considered for this position you will hold extensive experience coordinating employment services programs, with at least a portion of this gained at a senior management or executive level.

You will have a solid financial acumen, an excellent understanding of business practices that drive efficiencies, and the strategic and implementation planning skills to operate in a budget-led framework.

Importantly, this position requires a change maker. Someone who can lead from the front and drive organisational change that leads to business growth, whilst maintaining and improving connectivity with key stakeholders in the communities in which REDI.E operates. You will have proven success in conducting business operations within a culturally sensitive environment and be focused on program delivery that allows Indigenous persons to achieve positive and beneficial outcomes.

Tertiary qualifications in Business or related and/or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be highly regarded. 

Please note: A current open Driver's License is essential for this position. You must also be willing to undergo a criminal history check, as well as holding a Working With Children Clearance Notice prior to commencing employment with REDI.E.
